Hampshire Fare’s Natasha Dochniak writes in the Daily Echo on the importance of supporting local food producers.
Visitors to next month’s Alresford Show will once again be treated to a showcase of regional produce, with several Hampshire Fare members exhibiting. Natasha will also be judging the Local Produce area at the Show.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing the entries, because competitions like these showcase something we don’t always see when buying food from a supermarket: the time, skill, patience and pride that goes into growing, making and producing it.
And the show itself is a wonderful reminder that food is part of a much bigger rural picture.
Livestock, horses, horticulture, machinery, crafts, shopping and local produce all come together for a day that celebrates the countryside and the people who work in it.”
