We’re proud to have donated to the Alresford Children’s Christmas Tree Fund, which pays for the wonderful presents given to the children of Alresford during the arrival of Father Christmas.

This is a tradition that stretches back over fifty years (and counting!) and the Alresford Show is proud to support it.

Kevin Burrows, Chair of the Alresford Christmas Tree Fund, said: “This year has been extremely challenging with new charges in place for road closure applications and a shortfall from some of our normal sponsors.

The money has been used to purchase the presents given out at the Arrival of Father Christmas Event and to pay the contractor who installed the lights on the Broad Street Christmas Tree.

This year we gave out nearly 200 presents free of charge to children aged seven and under.
